What happens during an Audi Service?
Lights & Visibility: All lights (Front, rear and internal) are checked to confirm all are working correctly. All windows, wipers and mirrors checked for faults and weak points. Registration plates checked for damage and clarity.
Interior: An internal inspection to confirm that seat belts meet current safety standards. Checks are made to all the internal controls, including horn, hazard lights and other control functions. We also complete a full system check, including air conditioning, internal diagnostics, and warning messages from the internal vehicle software.
Steering & Drive System: As well as wheel alignment analysis, we also check all joints, gaiters and wheel bearings for strength and function. Front & rear shock absorbers are reviewed and tested for effectiveness and friction.
Under the Vehicle: All under-car trays are removed and oil drained from the engine. Transmission thoroughly checked for leaks, faults, rust or corrosion. And then, all lines are inspected for defects before the trays are replaced.
Braking System: Front & rear brakes, along with their mechanisms checked and measured in line with safety standards. This is then recorded for their service life.
Under the Bonnet: An engine inspection is completed to ensure all parts are in full working order and no faults or leaks are present. Air & oil filters, spark plugs and drive belts are checked and replaced if required.
Tyres: Wheels, including wheel nuts, are inspected for corrosion or weak points. All tyres are checked for tread, and tyre pressures adjusted before refitting. Spare wheel and/or inflation kit also checked where appropriate.
Final Checks: Checks are made to brake fluid and anti-freeze levels and quality to ensure adequate for road safety. Our team then fills the engine with new oil before updating the service record.
What type of service does my Audi need?
Every Audi comes with a servicing schedule, a pre-determined plan with scheduled intervals. The schedule should be available in your handbook.
There should also be a dashboard indicator that will tell you when your next service is due, either in miles to go or date format. Within the handbook, you should have the service history, which will show what services have been previously completed.
If you don’t have access to the service book, get in touch, and our team can help determine the best service for you and your Audi.
Why should I service my Audi?
Safety: Our team uses regular servicing to make sure faults don’t go undetected until they cause a more significant problem or, worse, an accident. Following servicing recommendations will keep your Audi safely on the road.
Reliability: Precision German engineering is all about reliability, and that is probably one of the reasons you brought an Audi. So why not keep that reliability with regular servicing to keep your Audi performing at its best.
Savings: Catching faults early with regular servicing can save you a lot of time and money over the longer term. As well as the immediate savings made on well-maintained cars, they are also cheaper to run with improved fuel efficiency and performance.
Longevity: Servicing is designed to keep your Audi on the road for as long as possible. Make sure to check and help prevent unnecessary wear and tear by catching issues early and keeping your car working at an optimum level for longer.
